Description • Thickness: 2 mm • Suitable for flat-sealing pipe screw connections • Inspected according to DVGW worksheet W 270 • Temperature-resistant: - to approx. +130C° EPDM seals are used as screw connections for flat-sealing pipe fittings. The seals made of ethylene-propylene-diene rubber, EPDM for short, have various beneficial properties. The EPDM seal is resistant to high temperatures, making it more suitable than other materials. This is why the EPDM seal is suitable, for example, as a flat seal for all screw connections that come into contact with hot water. The EPDM seal combines properties such as durability, permanent elasticity and high resistance to various environmental influences, such as UV radiation. Traditionally, rubber or another elastic material has been used for pipe seals. However, the EPDM seal is much more temperature resistant than other options. EPDM seals, on the other hand, are not suitable for applications where they could come into contact with mineral oils or greases. The EPDM seals are available in different versions with different dimensions. See catalogue
