Description • Operating pressure: 15 - 100 mbar • Pressure loss: ≤ 0.5 mbar • Overflow rate: 2 - 30 l/h air • For gaseous liquid gas (propane, butane) and natural gas in accordance with DVGW worksheet G 260 Note: • Dimensioning and design of the LPG system (gas flow monitor, nominal flow rate, nominal width etc.) must be carried out according to TRF 2012. • *Installation position: “D” verti cally downwards Gas flow monitors are used for safety in installations for liquid gas or natural gas. They interrupt the gas flow if more gas than intended flows through the line. This can occur, for example, if the gas pipe is damaged or a component within a gas appliance is defective. In this case, the gas flow monitor will automatically switch off liquid gas or natural gas. The flow monitor also provides additional safety by interrupting the gas flow if the gas pipe has been tampered with or if the gas leakage is deliberately caused. If liquid gas or natural gas escapes in the gas installation behind the gas flow monitor, this leads to a pressure drop in the line. This results in different pressures in front of and behind the flow monitor, which leads to the interruption of the gas supply with a closing plate. Flow switches for liquid gas and natural gas are available in different versions. Therefore, depending on the design of the gas flow monitors, their function and appearance may differ slightly. Flow monitors with mounting position D are intended for vertical installation. Gas flow monitors with overflow opening have a bypass that allows a small amount of gas to flow through when closed. If the cause of the escaping gas behind the flow monitor with bypass is removed, it opens again automatically and does not need to be activated manually. Technical data
