Short description

Application:
As part of the commissioning and periodic testing of grid-connected Photovoltaics systems in accordance with VDE 0126-23 (DIN EN 62446), polarity tests, open-circuit voltages and short-circuit current measurements of parallel-connected PV strings can be carried out, stored and documented safely and efficiently up to 1500 V/40 A.
General measurement functions:
- Polarity test of the PV generator/PV cabling
- Open-circuit voltage measurement for modern 1500 V DC systems
- Short-circuit current measurement on PV strings up to 40 A DC
- Solar irradiation (W/m²) and PV module/ambient temperature (°C) via BENNING SUN 2 (order no.: 70 128 24)
Performance features:
- Automatic test sequence (+/-, Vo/c, ls/c, W/m², °C) with reverse polarity protection
- Powerful short-circuit current measurement, up to 4 x greater reserve than standard PV testers with 10 A limitation
- Reduced testing times and dismantling effort, as PV strings no longer have to be separated individually and tested one after the other
- Reduces the risk of failure due to overload when testing PV strings of unknown power
- Real-time clock with date and time stamp per measurement
